I would say you are correct in your assumption about the usual practice. Whenever someone invites me to a swing club and mentions that there won't be any single males, which is often, I always write back, "What would be the point of coming then?" lol

Frankly, I don't understand that. I know swinger's clubs are mainly for "liberal" couples, but what's wrong with single men or women wandering around? If they respect the "etiquette"... As I told you, I've read only a few articles about those places, and in all of them there were only harsh comments regarding single men. So, I've though about visiting one of them if I have the opportunity, but I'm a bit scared because I suspect I won't be well received simply because I'm a man alone.
