It is the one state on that side of the Mississippi that I have not visited. I have always wanted to see the UP in winter.

Poor MI We always get a boring/bad/fat rap haha. Which is largely true except for the sexy folks, like us, who know how to make the most of this place. The UP is beautiful all year round! I wouldn't have believed it myself until Mrs Tattoo took me on a trip through the UP the included a long hike along Pictured Rocks- absolutely amazing (some fun pics included of course)! Hard to believe the water is as clear and blue as the Caribbean... But a helluva lot colder haha! May I also recommend the Lake MI coast up near Traverse City (awesome wineries and a ton of them) and the "pinky-area" of MI, if you use the hand symbol that all Michiganders use to represent where we live within the state, if you ever make it here. We could give you a tour Sand dunes, jeeps with the top off, and a lot of hiking in and around old coastal boat towns along the northern Lake MI coast. Again, something Mrs Tattoo introduced to me. Im like you, always traveled away from this place until I met her.
