Rapidshare unbelievably slow

Does anyone else have this problem? Its irritating since it used to be really fast. Good sourde for porn to post her as well.

That cannot be normal , certainly not if you have a fast cable connection.
Have you enquired of your service provider ? You may also seek information
from RapidShare itself though if you are not a premium user a response may
be long in coming. There must be a routing bottleneck somewhere, and it
could just be that the default server is not the most proximate to you. It is
best if you have a list of optional download sites that way you can pick the
one that gives you the best speed at that time. Speed mostly depends on
your local time when you request a download. You should see a difference at
different times. My speeds vary from dialup speed of ~ 60 KBs at 8:00 in the
evening ( sometimes less but at those speeds a large file takes so long + 15
minutes, that the connection is lost so I discontinue the download myself )
to as much as 600 KBs at 8:00 in the morning

Even with my poxy 1Mb connection, rapid share appears poo - but saying that, sexuploader (or MegaRotic as it's now called) is even worse! A 270 MB vid used to be relatively quick, now it lingers for hours sometimes, dropping to 20KB/sec

That is very surprising. It almost seems as if your loss is my gain.
T'was the day before Chrismas or before that on the 23 rd, I don't
exactly recall now, early morning around 8:30 A.M., download speed
here in the eastern U.S. from Megarotic , peaked at 950 KB per second
that's 7.6 megabits.
I got some 80 MB files , each in under a minute and a half !
When its this good and setup for multiple simulataneous downloads
you can get very spoiled. Normal bandwith just doesn't measure up.

I urge you to investigate your connection settings as I suggested here _

My immediate advice is to immediately drop the download if it appears
overly slow. You will have to wait a bit before you are allowed to
reconnect for another attempt but this is only ten minutes at most ,
and you won't get locked into a poorly routed connection.

Thanks a lot for all your help man. Ironically it has been fixed somehow by itself. These things happen to me lots of times. All kinds of electronic things has broken down overthe years. Ive learned that just keeping away from them for a while tends to be the best method. They usually start working agin after a while. I have weird electronics-karma. Or something like that...
