    is everyone else having to do this every time to log in now? what is up with this?

    As long as you have cookies enabled on your browser you will only have to do it every 30 days.
    If you clear your cookies then yes you will have to do it every time.
    Also remember to set a Pass Key then you wont have to verify your age.
